Ceramic market in Aix-en-Provence

I heard about a ceramic market in Aix-en-Provence this morning, and decided to have a look. To my surprise, it was larger than I expected, but I was not surprised to see it was not really focused on ceramic. Anyway, it was a pleasure to go through the sellers booths. DSC02888 DSC02884
This one is meant for tourists, with dish clothes "typical" of the area, especially the one with pastis, our local anise-flavored liqueur. Btw, most visitors there do not speak French. And most of the French speaking ones are not local.

I kept away from this booth, although I was very tempted by the creations. Hand-made leather shoes, with beautiful designs. I'll see if they'll have a regular boot.

But I could not resist this one.The two sisters of Ikherbaneceramic are friendly, and I liked their dishes.
In fact, I have been looking for some kind of bowl to dress a salad, just for me. I almost bought some a few days ago. The color and design were nice, but they were made in plastic. For the same price, I've got those unique pieces. And I've contributed to the local economy.

I hope you all have a great week. Take care!

You will feel so pampered eating out of this beautiful bowl. A good choice. I don't see how you could resist those shoes. You have a great affinity for unusual shoes.

I love markets of any kind. Might have told you that before. That bowl is a beautiful colour for salads! I like a good contrast myself. Haha!!! for skipping the shoe stand. I know why ;)

Funny what you said about who speaks French! Are they mostly British where you are?

I loved strolling in the market when I last visited Aix with Neki, so full of colour and nice things to buy.
The salad bowl is super, we deserve to treat ourselves with nice ware (and not only!).
