You may decide that this is the perfect day to spend hibernating -- all cuddled up with a good friend or a sweetheart. Well, why not? Rent some videos, cook some comfort food and make the world go away. You've certainly earned it.
That is what we did on Saturday. Kind of...
This is Amandine, my daughter coming home from a 13-months trip in Australia and Asia. I went to London to welcome her, and bring her a coat and shoes.
This is me. Cuddled...
Yes, this is the floor, the floor of Stansted airport from where we were supposed to fly home that evening.
The good part is that it was nicely warm in the airport, with no video, but live show all the night through.
We were lucky, with the help of Amandine's father, we managed to climb into a Eurostar to Paris. I was rather eager to see the tunnel but I did not. I don't know why. Amandine thinks this is the reason why...

Oooh, Veronique, it was very brave of you to post that last pic!!! Sounds like you had a heck of a trip, but so glad you made it home safely - and just think what stories you'll have to tell!!
I wondered if anyone Iknew had to deal with the awful snow conditions in England. It sounds like you were some of the lucky ones getting a train ride out of the city. I saw on the news that the lines were horribly long just to get tickets. It is good to know you and A are home safe and sound.
The conditions in UK are terrible!!
So glad you got home safely, even though it took 2 days!
Ugh. I can't imagine such an extended trip. Glad you are home and hopefully A LOT more comfortable and cozy than sleeping at the airport.
Sorry our freakish weather spoiled your daughters home coming. Love the pictures. Snuggle up and enjoy. Joyeux Noel.
good to hear you escaped the deadly trap of london's airports. welcome back amadine! para cuando la paella?
What an adventure you had! The weather must've been quite a shock to Amandine's system after living in the Australian climate for 13 months.
I'm glad you managed to get home safe and sound in spite of the bad weather.
We're having a few quiet weather days but we have snow on the ground and cold temperatures.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas celebration with your family, dear Vero. xox
Oh my - this sounds like it was not fun! Good thing though, that you had someone to share the experience with. Now you're home safe and sound, have a very merry Christmas!
C'est épuisant tous ces voyages :-)))! Et bravo à toi d'avoir partagé la dernière photo :-)
