They are in full bloom in my garden. Although I am a day lilly serial killer: if something bad is going to happen to a plant here (too much weeding, broken stem, always by me), the victim is always a day lilly... And this is has been going on for several years, in fact since I planted my first day lilly. I don't know why, but this is a fact. I'm lucky they are so forgiving!

You are so lucky to be able to grow your amaryllis outside. I love day lilies, and have boht deciduous and evergreen ones.
OOooo your daylilies are gorgeous. I can't grow amaryllis here. I guess I could if I did it inside but I don't do that. They look so pretty in your garden.
Beautiful!
LOL! I am a serial chrysanthemum weakener, myself. You'd think I'd have the hang of avoiding the foliage by now, but they're mixed in other plantings in with the strip I call a garden and every spring I wind up yanking some while doing the "first" weeding. They, too are pretty forgiving.
You are funny, Vero :-) But you are right -- daylilies are quite durable. Your amaryllis is very cheery!!
It looks to me like your day lillies LIKE your unintended abuse! Your amaryllis look great! Do you bring the bulbs in every winter or just leave them in the earth?
