Iron flower

This is this time of year, where the birds are hungry.
I wonder how long it will take them to notice the fat balls on the flowers.
It took them about three weeks to dare come to the mega feeder...
Maybe because the fat cakes and peanuts were even more tempting
It is a surprise each year to discover the food they will prefer. One year, they live on seeds, the next on peanuts, etc... But one thing is certain, when the temperatures drop, they come close to the garden window and request that I feed them. Quite funny.

What fun to have your birds request dinner. :) What kind of birds do you get? I would be interested in knowing. Maybe you can get some pictures of them at your feeders.

Don't they fly away for winter? Cake and peanuts! What an odd diet for birds!

That is a giant feeder! Don't you just love watching the birds! You have a nice little spot there for them.

I don't know how I keep missing your post. I added you to my Google reader again! grrr.....it seems to be acting finicky lately! *sigh*
