Quiet Weekend

Hello Ladies,

I'm glad you like the tour in Sitges, and Carol Taylor. :-)

Amandine came to spend this long weekend. We went to a Korean restaurant in Aix en Provence. We loved it. Nice place, great service and great food.
If you wonder what this is, it is a Crême Brûlée made with green tea, and a few red beans. Delicious.

There was a storm during the night, with wind and rain. Someone was very happy this morning, to discover his favorite drink...
He always makes me smile when he does that. Sometimes, he climbs on the container (that I leave there on purpose...).

Have a good weekend all!

Last stop in Sitges - Carol Taylor

Let's finish the tour among the quilts exhibited in Sitges with those by Carol Taylor.

I loved them. Because of the colors, the design, the energy they express, the fabulous technique, and because they were in perfect condition.

And she has a bright smile.
You can see more of her work here.

Sitges, continued

One of my favorites in Sitges: Elly Sienkiewicz.
I like her appliques so much.
There were beautiful Baltimore albums to look at.
I'm fascinated by some Baltimore albums, because I like appliqué, and also because they tell a story.
The quilts by Elly Sienkiewicz have even more dimensions. They are all beautifully made.
Great work!
You can see more here. And do browse YouTube for some videos.

And a nice surprise: Ferret.
I was very impressed when I entered the room where she was showing her works. They are powerful.
A lot of work goes in them, they are big, and also beautifully made.
And she is very nice, and a bit "out of the norm". You don't expect a gothic looking lady making quilts, don't you? Nor a Rockstar turned into quilt?

Kaffe Fasset in Sitges

Yes, he was there in person.
He was knitting the time away, accepting the worship of his fans. I guess he held a conference, and kept his thoughts for that time.

Anyway, here are his quilts.

If you can't see the slide show, here is the link.

The candies are not only beautiful, they are delicious. I have not tested them all yet, but so far, they taste wonderful.

Yes, the works exhibited in Sitges were of great quality, and you have not seen them all yet...

France Patchwork in Sitges

Up and ready early. Organized enough to find how to create a slide show, and embed it in a post.
So here we are!
Back to Sitges Patchwork Festival.
France Patchwork was invited, and displayed beautiful large quilts.
As you can see, they are traditional and beautifully made.

MaybeI found out how to generate a slide show, but blogger did not find out how to display it on some devices.
You can see the album here.

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny has been generous with me:
They are all candies... yummy isn't it?

Speaking of (eye) candies... as I switched to the news on TV yesterday, they were introducing Andréas KANELLOPOULOS of Furor Brillante. He is a very talented French embroiderer. Do visit his page!

Happy Easter to all!
